These are super cool kites. The great thing is that you don't even need any wind. All you need are some children that want to run (which are not difficult to find) and they stay up in the air! I found the tutorial for these great kites here at Maya Made. So go there to find out how to make them.
For the kites you need:
Printer paper
kebab sticks
tape
string/yarn
hole punch
plastic bag for a tail
markers and stickers to decorate

C and a friend enjoying their kites. Running or letting the wind catch them. Fun Fun Fun!
Hope you enjoy these kites as much as we did!
What kinds of kites have you made?
Aw, we have yet to fly a kite with Rosie yet. We ave one waiting for the perfect day though. These look fun! :)
ReplyDeleteThese kites need no wind so you might as well try this one with Rosie. Thanks. Glad to share these fun kites.
DeleteWe made a kite similar to yours at a kid's event. It was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteSounds great. Kites are always fun!
DeleteCan't wait to try this! We are big fans of kite flying, but this is a great option for the yard.
ReplyDeleteYes it is. Kids love anything with a string on it and it magically becomes a kite!
DeleteThis looks like fun. Anna brought a similar kite from her Y afterschool recently. She was awfully proud of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks. All the kids were proud of their kites in the neighborhood too.
DeleteWe just made these today. I was babysitting too so we made a few and they worked great. The kids were so proud and it really tired them out with all that running =)
ReplyDeleteAren't they great? We had so much fun too. Glad they worked out and the kids had fun! Yeah!
