Super Easy Chocolate Covered Strawberries!!

I just made some wonderful chocolate covered strawberries!  They are a gift for Valentine's day for my husband and daughter.  They are so easy to make!

You need one lb. of strawberries!

1 1/2 cups of semisweet- chocolate chips

1/4 cup of white-chocolate chips

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave.  Stir the chips at 20 second intervals. It took about 3 minutes.

Dip the strawberries in the chocolate. Shake off any extra chocolate and place on a wax paper lined tray.

Put in the fridge for 5 minutes.  Melt the white chocolate chips and stir at 20 second intervals.  This took about 1 minute.  Drizzle the white chocolate with a fork over the strawberries. Now you will have the most amazing looking dessert or Valentine's gift!

Watercolor Heart Snowflakes Were A Hit!!

Thanks to The Artful Parent Blog we created these spectacular coffee filter watercolor snowflakes! My daughter Cassie wanted to create these every day for the past few days!  Cut out hearts from coffee filters, refold to create snowflakes, and then watercolor!  So simple and so fun!  I think Mom enjoyed it just as much!

The Day It Rained Hearts!!!!

This is one of our favorite books for Valentine's day:  The Day It Rained Hearts by: Felicia Bond.  I love this book because the little girl in the book creates Valentines with the hearts that have rained down! Cassie and I created Valentine pictures similar to the ones in the book.  We cut out red hearts,  glued them down on white paper, and watercolored around them.  We loved using Prang Metallic Watercolors! These watercolors look awesome after they dry and when mixed with regular watercolors!

BEAUTIFUL!

Too Cold For A Snowman!

The temperatures have been way too cold for building snowmen so my daughter and I created this snow face on a tree trunk.   You kind of have to pack the snow into the tree trunk and it stays!! As long as the temperatures stay frigid this face will not disappear! We look forward to warmer temperatures when we can build a snowman in a few days!

POP ARTish Spin Art Heart Valentine Cards!!

Finally finished some of my Spin Art Heart Valentine cards!!  First,  I traced a heart on the back of all the spin art creations and cut them out.  Then,  I glued them on the front of a white card stock card.  Lastly, I decorated around the hearts with Prang Metallic Markers.  I think they look very POP ARTish! I will be sending these out to family.  Every year I create a different valentine card that is like no other! I always have a lot of fun!
