I think it is great to take kids "early" and find things that are relevant to them and that they enjoy looking at :-)

We went recently too - http://www.redtedart.com/2011/08/31/kids-get-crafty-tate-britain-sea-monsters/ and had a great time!!

MaggyRedTedArthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10598268370352420664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-661997977170318098.post-7581149548587604092011-09-12T18:22:49.867-04:002011-09-12T18:22:49.867-04:00That's so great! I didn't realize you were in the Cleveland area - that Red Grooms sculpture has always been one of my favorites too! We went to the Natural History Museum last month and we had a ton of fun! They have a great Discovery Center, some live animals in an outdoor exhibit, and the Little Builder's Exhibit was featured in the FamilyFun magazine - but not sure if it runs through September, or if its gone. You should definitely check it out if you haven't been there yet!Abbey Boullthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07666130713362402209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-661997977170318098.post-20902750399742776882011-09-12T16:25:07.442-04:002011-09-12T16:25:07.442-04:00Hi Melissa, I enjoyed this post (actually I enjoy ...Hi Melissa, I enjoyed this post (actually I enjoy all of your posts) so much! (They're one of my guilty pleasures but I didn't tell the kids that!) We've used your style of scavenger hunt at the Getty Museum in LA and also a color scavenger hunt bracelet. These work well because it doesn't give you something extra to hold. You can download them here http://smartmomuniversity.com/summer-school/item/museum-outing

I love when kids enjoy time at the art museum. Don't you?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-661997977170318098.post-23086035582512561582011-09-12T16:11:59.754-04:002011-09-12T16:11:59.754-04:00Thank you so much for linking back to my post. You're making me want to head back with my boys for another visit. May be soon...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
